Once-bustling Tulane Avenue is a hub for prostitution. Most of the sex tourists go to the Bourbon street these days because that is where the most strip clubs and bars are. Word to the wise if your solicited on the street for sex or drugs, it's more than likely an undercover police or someone trying to rip you off. similar to what they have in Amsterdam or Frankfurt.
But they have no area or street that caters to this business. These days you can be sure that New Orleans still have prostitution. Locals usually simply referred to the area as The District.
